The love of my life

I know high school is a very important time is everyone's life, but my senior year was a time I will always treasure. Not because of graduating (which was a very important milestone in my life I know), but it was the time I met my husband, Kenny. Our class trip was all planned and everyone had signed up for rooms with their friends of choice. The day came to leave and everyone met at the buses. Friends all grouped together on the bus as we headed toward Atlanta. When we got to our hotel and everyone was being assigned their rooms, an error had been made and I had no room assignment. While all my friends were going to their rooms and settling in, I was trying to find out where I was supposed to be. I ended up sharing a room with someone who was also having trouble with her room. (She ended up being one of my best friends). We got settled and joined the buses as they were going to the next destination, Six Flags. One of the buses had already gone and so I was separated from the group of friends that I planned to spend the time with. For some reason Kenny was at that bus I was going to be on and I think he felt sorry for me so he joined me and we ended up going around the park together. We had such a good time, meeting up with other friends and just getting to know each other. We ended up spending time together the entire trip and continued our relationship when we got home. It turned out that he only lived a couple of blocks from my home and we had never met. We continued dating and eventually got married. This September we will celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary. As each year passes, I love him even more.
I know that someone was guiding us together from the start. I don't like the word "fate" because I think there is more to it. I truly believe that God's plan was for Kenny and I to be together and showed us what directions to follow. I thank God every day for the wonderful husband he has given me.
